Singer was the subject of an advertisement on the snapchat which asked to users if they “rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown”.
Rihanna posted insta story today to denounce Snapchat after the platform showed an offensive ad featuring the celeb to users. The advertisement was for a mobile game called Would You Rather that appeared inside Snapchat over the weekend asking users if they would rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown. Its look funny but…
The ad, which was for a game, appeared to reference Chris Brown’s conviction for assaulting Rihanna in 2009 while they were dating.
Snapchat Inc says the advertisement “never should have appeared on our service”.
Rihanna updated a strict comment on an Instagram Story saying she was “trying to figure out what the point was with this mess”. “I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb,” she wrote.
Rihanna, 30, dismissed Snapchat’s first apology in a statement posted to Instagram Thursday.
“Now Snapchat I know you already know you ain’t my favorite app out there! But I’m just trying to figure out what the point was with this mess!” she began. “I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb!”
